IoT Senior Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

Work with Midea product manager(s) to identify unmet consumer needs
Translate consumer needs into product/technology opportunities
Create smart/IoT product specifications
Work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to ensure the IoT/smart home features and/or services conform to specifications and meet the performance needs of multiple product categories
Evaluate new products for market appropriateness and functional performance over a wide range of phones/routers
Monitor and participate in appropriate IoT/Smart regulatory and standard-setting bodies
Coordinate with HQ and product divisions to implement new smart innovations into the product plan
Consult on feature development as products transition to market.
Evaluate for specification conformity
Support other team members in technical specialty as needed

Your profile

5 years or more experience in IoT/Smart Home research and product development
Master’s degree in Computer/Software/Electronics Engineering or related field
Experience implementing IoT features in a consumer product environment (e.g. iOS and/or Android app development)
Experience implementing IoT technologies like WiFi, Bluetooth, and various sensor technologies.
Basic experience in security, Cloud Computing
Knowledge of C/C++ and Pyhton is a Plus
Knowledge of Embedded systems is a plus
Knowledge of Cloud Computing and AI methodologies is a plus
Good business instincts - identifies opportunities from trends
Creative thinker, strong smart innovation skills
Experience with open innovation and collaboration in an engineering environment
Solid understanding of consumer product development process and manufacturing
Experience working with remote product cross-culture development teams
German and English language skills

Deine Aufgaben

Zusammenarbeit mit Produktmanagement von Midea, um neue Verbraucherbedürfnisse zu ermitteln
Umwandlung von Verbraucherbedürfnissen in Produkt-/Technologiechancen
Erstellung von Smart/IoT-Produktspezifikationen
Arbeit in funktions- und kulturübergreifenden Teams, um sicherzustellen, dass die IoT-/Smart-Home-Funktionen und/oder -Dienste den Spezifikationen entsprechen und die Leistungsanforderungen mehrerer Produktkategorien erfüllen
Bewertung neuer Produkte auf ihre Markttauglichkeit und funktionale Leistung bei einer Vielzahl von Telefonen/Routern
Überwachung und Teilnahme an entsprechenden IoT/Smart-Regulierungs- und Standardisierungsgremien
Koordinierung mit der Zentrale und den Produktabteilungen zur Implementierung neuer intelligenter Innovationen in den Produktplan
Beratung bei der Entwicklung von Funktionen, wenn Produkte auf den Markt kommen.
Bewertung der Konformität mit Spezifikationen
Im Bedarfsfall Unterstützung anderer Teammitglieder in technischen Spezialgebieten

Dein Profil

5 Jahre oder mehr Erfahrung in der IoT/Smart Home-Forschung und -Produktentwicklung
Master-Abschluss in Computer-/Software-/Elektroniktechnik oder einem verwandten Bereich
Erfahrung in der Implementierung von IoT-Funktionen in einer Verbraucherproduktumgebung (z. B. iOS- und/oder Android-App-Entwicklung)
Erfahrung mit der Implementierung von IoT-Technologien wie WiFi, Bluetooth und verschiedenen Sensortechnologien.
Grundlegende Erfahrung in den Bereichen Sicherheit und Cloud Computing
Kenntnisse in C/C++ und Pyhton sind ein Plus
Kenntnisse über eingebettete Systeme sind ein Plus
Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Cloud Computing und KI-Methoden sind von Vorteil
Guter Geschäftsinstinkt - identifiziert Chancen aus Trends
Kreativer Denker, ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten zur intelligenten Innovation
Erfahrung mit offener Innovation und Zusammenarbeit in einer technischen Umgebung
Solides Verständnis des Entwicklungsprozesses und der Herstellung von Konsumgütern
Erfahrung in der Arbeit mit kulturübergreifenden Remote-Produktentwicklungsteams
Deutsche und Englische Sprachkenntnisse
