Simulation Engineer - REF (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
  • Develop and execute simulation models to analyze the performance and behavior of refrigerators, focusing on structural integrity, thermal performance, and fluid dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and product managers, to validate product designs and improve functionality through simulation insights.
  • Utilize advanced simulation software (e.g., Ansys, Fluent, or similar) to perform finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and thermal simulations on refrigerator components.
  • Identify and address potential design issues early in the development process, proposing innovative solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and optimization studies to ensure designs meet performance targets and comply with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in simulation and modeling to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
Your profile
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in simulation and modeling, preferably in the appliance or automotive industries.
  • Strong proficiency in simulation tools and software (e.g., Ansys, Fluent, or similar) for performing complex analyses.
  • Solid understanding of physical principles related to mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics as they apply to product design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret simulation data and translate it into actionable design improvements.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
