Your responsibilities
Product Compliance Management for European countries:
- Oversee the compliance of Kitchen and water heater appliances, including dishwasher, hoods and hobs, water heaters and drinking water systems with applicable European regulatory requirements (e.g., energy labelling and ecodesign, CE, REACH, RoHS, EMC, and other product-specific obligations) to ensure successful market access and ongoing product safety.
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with national and international laws, regulations, and standards for water treatment products throughout their lifecycle (development, approval, post-market surveillance).
- Prepare and/or review regulatory documentation, including product test reports, certifications, and approvals to relevant regulatory authorities, with a specific focus on water treatment technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations affecting water heaters and drinking water systems by monitoring and analyzing regulatory trends, policy changes, and emerging compliance requirements.
- Provide guidance on the potential impact of regulatory changes on product design and business operations.
- Work closely with R&D teams, Quality Assurance, Legal, Marketing, and other departments to integrate compliance requirements into the product development process, ensuring adherence to water treatment regulations from concept to commercialization.
- Support product design and innovation by proactively addressing regulatory constraints and opportunities.
- Lead the identification and mitigation of regulatory risks related to water treatment products.
- Conduct internal audits, ensuring preventive and corrective actions are taken to address non-compliance issues.
- Support external regulatory audits and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external organizations.
- Represent Midea in relevant industry associations and promote initiatives related to water treatment regulations.
- Actively engage in standardization organizations and working groups (e.g., IEC, Cenelec) to contribute to the development of product performance and environmental standards.
