Position Overview:
As a Consumer Technical Insights Research Engineer at the Midea European Research Center in Stuttgart, you will support the analysis of European market trends, conduct consumer research across multiple product categories, and help derive actionable insights to guide consumer-focused product development. You will assist in concept testing and research activities to ensure new ideas and products meet consumer needs and succeed in the marketplace. Additionally, you will explore innovative methods and technologies to uncover unmet customer needs and translate them into opportunities for product innovation. Collaboration with global consumer insights and marketing teams will also be part of your role.

Your Responsibilities:
- Design, initiate and execute consumer technical insight research to build up knowledge base for products / features / selling points innovation, as well as generate technology trends for next generation products for European markets
- Generate insights and recommendations to ensure proper consideration of consumers into new product and features planning
- Lead the collection and systematic analysis of country market data (panels, socio-economy, culture, demography, etc.), ensuring information quality and accuracy
- Track and analyze consumer sentiment and feedback through various channels, such as surveys, social media, focus groups, and online reviews, to guide future product innovation.
- Responsible for understanding the market and VOC (Voice of the Customer) in the early stage of the NPD (New Product Development), and monitoring and review progress and quality management in the execution.
- Provide strategic advice and decision making to Laundry Division
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, sales) to integrate consumer insights into the product development lifecycle and ensure alignment with market demands.
- Design and run consumer oriented tests in lab for USP validation
- Reference point for documentation and tracking about consumer facing topics (UMs, UI,…)
- Consulting PD team about default settings requirements for EU market
- Account consumer testing institutes requirements and provide guideline to PD team for succeeding
